A little introduction to the scam forum
It's rare for anybody to visit India not get scammed or ripped off at least once. I think actually that most people will, at least once a day, be overcharged for something. This, however irritating, is just part of life in India and it is just something that travellers just have to expect. But some of the bigger scams in India can be a little more serious than others and it's worth educating yourself a little to help avoid such things happening.
And that's why this forum is here. If you've had any problems either as an Indian or as a visitor then please please share them so we can get the word out about them. More and more imaginative scams are thought up everyday that always involve someone losing out big time. This is your chance to perhaps save someone a lot of money and more importantly - ensure that they leave India smiling - Not cursing
