Begging in India

There has been lots of talk recently about begging in India so I thought I would start this thread to try and get some peoples experiences and tips etc.

It can be incredibly sad being in India surrounded by beggars but it's so true that you can't help them all. You can give a 10r to one child and 3 seconds later you'll 30 kids at your feet.

The poverty is really in your face right from the moment you arrive at the airport. A man with leprosy was my first experience, he popped out from underneath a motorway bridge and shoved his bandaged hand in through the window while the car was at a red light. It was a certainly a bit of shock despite how much I had heard about this sort of thing.

What's your experience with beggars in India and how do you deal with it?

India is amazing. People should visit India. Kashmir, Manali Goa and Mumbai is one of the best cities in India. There are a lot of holiday packages India. But its that you need to pick up the best one and make your awesome.
